Trapping animals?

i just bought a trap yesterday and i'm trying to trap raccoons, opposom, skunks and apparently there's some mink around. i put out some bait to try and trap a raccoon or skunk, i used grapes, marshmallows, honey covered carrots and dry cat food. im not surprised i didnt catch one right away but are there any good trapping tips? or stronger smelling bait? i'm new to this. any info would help. thanks.
Answers:
I hear the best thing to use as bait is sardines. They smell really bad. Also try to cover the cage with branches or a blanket so the won't see it.
i have used canned tuna just open the can slide it in the trap all the way to the back and your set it usally works the first night .you may also want to put a towel or something over the top of the trap that way they cant see that its a trap .
Use Peanuts. I caught some skunks, rats,Woodchucks %26 accidental squirrels, and even greedy black birds. Don't know it they would work on Raccoons or opposoms though.
And these critters all came in my back yard.
try wet cat or dog food.
Why do you want to do this? You planning on making a coat? Or do you just enjoy maiming innocent animals? Traps are vicious and inhumane!! I invite you to veiw footage of such animals being trapped.
